Say "cheese"!

Today is picture day at our house.  Four little boys got out the door scrubbed, smiling, and looking like they actually own a comb.  Not to say this doesn't happen every day, however, there has been a time or two that I looked in the rearview mirror and mistook our 8 yr old for Alfalfa from the The Little Rascals.  Note:  There is nothing you can do with hair sticking up in a car on the way to school.  Too late.  His shirt could be ironed, everything else perfect, but that one thing, could make all the difference.

The same thing goes for any picture.  You get one shot to look your best.  Preparation is the key.  On the day the photographer comes to shoot your house, sure you will have vacuumed, dusted and spruced everything up.  But don't forget to take a close look at the details.  Do your couch pillows look as if someone just got up from a nap?  The kids artwork on the fridge...yea, that need to go.  And again... those toilet seats need to be down.  (That seems to be a running theme here, doesn't it?).  Look around outside too.  That waterhose...does it need to be snaking across the sidewalk?  And those old empty flower pots should probably go.

Hiring a great agent to help you wade through the details is important.   Professional photography is key.  Capturing the perfect shot to draw in a buyer is all in the details.
